Sawtooth Botanical Gardens

I recently went to the Sawtooth Botanical Gardens in Hailey, Idaho for the first time! It was really beautiful!! The atmosphere was very serene and peaceful. It is not that large, so I only spent about thirty minutes there. However, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I definitely recommend going there on your way to Sun Valley, Idaho (because chances are you aren't visiting Hailey, Idaho ;D). These are just a few pictures I took while I was exploring.

If you are interested in visiting the gardens, check out the website here.

Chillin' In Hyde Park

I was recently in Boise and I went to Hyde Park for the first time. It is the best!! Hyde Park is a neighborhood in North Boise that has the cutest businesses in converted houses.

I went to Goody's, which has homemade ice cream and chocolate. They also have candy, a soda fountain, and an espresso bar. Their ice cream is amazing! I had chocolate almond ice cream in a waffle dish with caramel sauce on top. I highly recommend it! Instead of chocolate sauce or chocolate chips, there was homemade chocolate almond bark inside the ice cream. There really are no words to describe the deliciousness!

My mom and I also went to Java, which is a coffee shop. I had a caramel latte with whipped cream and caramel sauce on top. As you can see, I am clearly a caramel addict! Java has fantastic drinks. They have quite a few locations. If you are ever in Idaho, I definitely recommend going there as well!

Overall, Hyde Park is my new favorite place! I cannot wait to go there again! :D

Color of the Month - July

It is July!! :D I have not posted on the color of the month since March! I am finally starting it up again. Before I get to July, I want to describe the colors of the month for April, May, and June.

The color of April is Cayenne, which is an orange-y red. The three characteristics that describe this color are fiery, energetic, and courageous. It can be used to increase energy, inspire courage, and elevate self-confidence. The color of May is Bud Green, which is the color of dichondra grass. The three characteristics that describe this color are healing, rejuvenating, and prosperous. It can be used to increase prosperity, promote material wealth, and balance and support the physical body. The color of June is Aspen Gold, which is a light mustard color with hints of gold. The three characteristics that describe this color are radiant, intellectually energizing, and uplifting. It can be used to increase joy and optimism, enhance articulation, and increase communication and memory skills.

The color of July is a beautiful Coral Blush. It is a silvery light pink that inspires love and receptivity.

Three characteristics that describe this color are...

Soothing
Receptive
Nurturing

This color can be used to attract love, open your heart, lift your spirit, and help adjust to change.

How do I know about the color of the month? I found all of the information in the book Colorstrology by Michele Bernhardt. You can find it here.

FAB FINDS: $5 Bag Sale

My local thrift store held a $5 bag sale about two months ago and I have finally found the chance to post about it!! During the sale, you stuff a grocery bag with as much as you can and you only pay $5. My thrift store carries brand-new or very lightly worn clothing. Many items still have the tags on them. I went with my mom again (I did last year as well) because we tend to find a lot of great pieces for each other.

~The Breakdown~
We filled up four bags with a total of 53 items. So, our total was $20! If I bought everything at the regular thrift store price, the total would have been $342 (not including one item that did not have a price).

We gave away about five things that we ended up not liking. The clothing we acquired is mainly fall/winter pieces. All in all, we were able to score some amazing items! For instance, we found a Columbia Sportswear black vest with stitched flowers, an LL Bean purple and black gore-tex ski jacket, a Banana Republic Genuine Italian Leather Belt, a DKNY Italian Leather Black Belt, the Sweet Scoops book by Shelly Kaldunski, Easy Spirit Brown Boots, ski poles, and lots of CD's. I would have to say that the belts and the CD's I found are definitely my favorite finds. Some CD's I got are Corinne Bailey Rae, Lenny Kravitz Baptism, Mariah Carey Merry Christmas, Jamie Foxx Best Night of My Life (love!!), Dierks Bentley Feel that Fire, Josh Turner Punching Bag, Martina McBride Eleven, Faith by Faith Hill, Miles Davis Kind of Blue, and Al Jarreau Heaven and Earth!
